May 3-9 is Mental Health Week, a week that highlights the importance of addressing mental health and wellness. This year's theme surrounds the need for all of us to #GetReal with each other about caring for our mental health, the mental health of those close to us and throughout our community.
The COVID-19 pandemic has taken its toll on our mental health, and has left many people struggling with anxiety, fear, uncertainty of the future, sadness, isolation and more. This past year has been very challenging and very difficult for all of us.
As we all navigate the stresses caused by the pandemic, remember that mental health is health, and it is always important to address. Now more than ever it is crucial that we take care of ourselves and others by accessing and addressing our mental health. Also remember that no matter how long this crisis lasts, we are all going through this difficult time together, and we will be there to help one another and get through this.
