Today, Health Canada has approved he Janssen vaccine, the single-dose COVID-19 vaccine developed by Johnson & Johnson. With this approval, Canada now has 5 approved vaccines from 4 vaccine producers: Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson.
We are well on track to deliver a vaccine to every Canadian who wants one by the end of September. With more vaccines on the way, and with health guidelines still being followed to fend off spread of the virus, the end is in sight. Stay safe and stay strong and together, we will get through this.
