Applications are now open for the new Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy (CERS) to help businesses hardest hit during the pandemic. CERS is straightforward, easy-to-access and goes directly to businesses, not landlords.

Canadian businesses, non-profit organizations or charities who have seen a drop in revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic may be eligible for a subsidy to cover up to 65% of their commercial rent or property expenses, backdated to start on September 27, 2020 and go until June 2021. We are also providing Lockdown Support of an additional 25% for businesses that find themselves subject to a lockdown under mandatory public health orders in their Region.
