MP Mark Holland laid a wreath in a smaller and safely distanced ceremony at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 322 in Ajax for this year's Remembrance Day ceremony. While the event was closed to the public this year, representatives from the federal, provincial and municipal governments attended on behalf of all Canadians to pay respects to our brave Canadian Forces members who served and continue to serve, and honour those who sacrificed to maintain peace, our freedoms and our way of life.
MP Holland wore a special mask and poppy made by Kathleen Schwartz of Oshawa. Ms. Schwartz took on the fantastic cause of making and selling non-medical masks this year to help protect the community, and also raise money for our local Legions to help support our veterans.
