More Canadians are seeking mental health support during the COVID-19 pandemic, and systemic barriers just adds to the challenges being faced. That is why we are committing $19 million to enhance community supports for at-risk youth, and to support more culturally focused mental health programs for Black Canadians.
As part of this investment, the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is confirming $4.9 million through two funding streams for projects through the Promoting Health Equity: Mental Health of Black Canadians Fund (MHBC) to better support the mental health and well-being of Black Canadians through two funding streams:
